How much reference content do I need to upload?

The more reference content you provide, the more accurate our fingerprinting. At minimum, 5-10 unique images or one 30-second video clip is enough to start. You can add more content at any time from your dashboard.

How often does the scanner run?

Scans run continuously — our crawlers check known leak sites and new URLs as they appear. For most platforms, new leaks are detected within a few hours of publication. You can also manually trigger a scan from your dashboard at any time.

What sites does the scanner cover?

We cover thousands of leak sites, adult forums, file-sharing platforms, major search engine image indexes, and social media. Coverage expands as we identify new infringing sources. The full list is available in your account settings.

What if the scan flags something that isn't my content (a false positive)?

You can mark any result as 'not my content' directly from the scan report. This removes it from your takedown queue and trains the system to avoid similar false positives in future scans. Your feedback improves accuracy over time.

How fast are leaks removed after a DMCA notice is filed?

Most hosts comply within 24-48 hours of receiving a valid DMCA notice. Search engines (Google, Bing) typically delist URLs within a few days. Some platforms take longer — we monitor each case and escalate if the host fails to respond within the statutory window.

What happens if a host ignores the DMCA notice?

We escalate through available channels: repeat notices, abuse reports to upstream providers, and reporting to DMCA.gov where applicable. Repeat non-compliant hosts are flagged in our system for expedited escalation on future notices.

Can a site owner file a counter-notification?

Yes. If a site owner files a counter-notification, we will notify you immediately. You then have 10-14 business days to decide whether to pursue legal action. We do not provide legal advice — consult a copyright attorney if you receive a counter-notice.

How do I change my plan?

Accepted Answer

Go to Account → Billing and select 'Change plan'. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the start of the next billing cycle. If you downgrade, your current plan's features remain active until the cycle ends.

What is your refund policy?

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first charge if you are unsatisfied with the service. After 7 days, refunds are issued at our discretion. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access to the current period with no partial refund.

Where can I find my invoices?

All invoices are available in Account → Billing → Invoice history. Each invoice is a downloadable PDF and includes a breakdown of the plan charged, billing period, and payment method used.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion from Account → Settings → Delete account. Your data is purged within 30 days per our retention policy. Active subscriptions must be cancelled before account deletion.

Is my identity ever revealed to infringing sites?

No. All DMCA notices are filed under DeleteMyLeaks' registered agent details. Your real name, home address, and email are never exposed to the infringing host or their operators.
