A Step-by-Step Takedown Guide

We don't know. We have never sent Thothub a notice, so we have no results to report. Some Thothub domains publish a DMCA page or form. If the one your content is on does not, send the notice to the site's hosting provider, its CDN or its domain registrar instead.

The one your content is on. Thothub shows up under several domain names, and some sites copy the name without being the same site. Send each notice to the contact for the exact domain in the URL, and list every URL from that domain in the same notice.

Six things: your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is common); the work that was copied, such as a link to your original post; the exact URL of every page that carries it; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; and a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the content or are authorized to act for the owner. Sites can pass a notice on to the person who posted the content, so use contact details you are comfortable sharing.

Go one level up. A WHOIS or RDAP lookup of the domain (ICANN's lookup tool works) names its registrar and the registrar's abuse contact. The site's IP address points to its hosting provider, which has its own abuse contact. If the site sits behind Cloudflare, use Cloudflare's abuse form, which passes copyright reports on to the site's host. Send each of them the same notice and keep a copy of everything you send.

You can ask. Google's copyright removal form for Search takes the page URLs and the same statements as a DMCA notice. Bing has its own content removal form, and Bing's results also feed Yahoo and DuckDuckGo. This hides the page in search results but does not delete it from Thothub, and neither engine promises a date.

No one can promise a time. It depends on whether the site, its host or the search engines act, and none of them publish a turnaround. Keep a dated log of what you sent and check each page again after a few days. When we send a takedown notice to any site, we recheck the page a day, a week and a month later, until it is gone, while your plan is active.
